As a nurse who learned the importance of holistic self-care after nursing school, I can tell you—if I had known then what I know now, it would have made all the difference. Like many nursing students, I was caught up in the stress of exams, clinicals, and meeting every expectation, pushing myself past the point of exhaustion because I thought I had to. I didn’t prioritize my well-being, and it caught up with me.

Now, as I look back, I realize that the key to sustainable well-being in this field isn’t just about getting through school or making it through long shifts. It’s about taking care of your whole self—mind, body, and spirit.

That’s why I created the Student Nurse Wellness Sanctuary: a space specifically for student nurses who want to avoid the burnout I faced and learn how to balance the demands of nursing school with the essential practice of self-care.

In our Self-Care Sessions, we’ll focus on resilience-building techniques, stress management practices, and evidence-based holistic self-care strategies that will help you stay grounded, energized, and centered as you navigate nursing school. Through mindfulness, meditation, breathwork, and stress-relief tools, you’ll learn how nourish your spirit, manage your energy, and recharge when you need it most.

Having worked as a registered nurse, I understand the intense demands nursing school places on both body and mind. My own burnout journey led me to holistic nursing because I saw the need for a whole-person approach that honors each individual’s well-being alongside their professional growth.
